The Adventures of Joey the Clown: Telling Tales for Minis
Sunday 21 September 2025, 11am, 1pm, 2.30pm
Join playful storyteller Olivia Armstrong in an interactive, sensory storytelling session, exploring the adventures of Charles Dickens' favourite clown Joey Grimaldi.
Sessions are for families with children aged 5 or under and last 40mins.
All children must be accompanied

Make a Scene! Drama fun with Oliver
Thursday 30 October 2025, 10.30am, 12.30pm, 2.30pm
Our Victorian actor needs your help to put on a scene from one of Charles Dickens's most famous books! Learn performance skills and take an on or offstage role in 'the Smallest Theatre in the World' at Charles Dickens's own home.
For ages 9-12 years
Maximum of 1 adult with up to 3 children – all children must be accompanied.
Sessions last 1 hour

‘The Smallest Theatre in the World’: Tour and crafting workshop
Sunday 30 November 2025, 10.30am, 12.30pm, 2.30pm
Be like Charles Dickens and have a theatre in your own home! Join us for a theatrical tour of the museum, then make a cut-out and keep mini-theatre which can include you as a character!
For ages 7-11 years
Maximum of 1 adult with up to 3 children – all children must be accompanied.
Free event with all materials provided.
